Chapter 1: The App That Went Bananas**
Raj was a typical 27-year-old living in the tech hub of Bangalore. He worked as an app developer at a bustling startup by day, but his evenings were consumed by a series of odd side hustles. On this particular Tuesday, he found himself staring at his computer screen, brainstorming the next big idea.
“What if I created an app that helps people find the best banana bread in the city?” he muttered to himself, munching on a slice of the very food he was considering immortalizing in code. His roommate, Meera, raised an eyebrow from her spot on the couch.
“Banana bread? Really, Raj? You do realize there are apps for that, right?”
Raj shrugged, “But what if I made it more fun? Like, you could rate the bread by how 'banana-y' it was!”
Meera chuckled, “I think you’ve had one too many slices. Besides, your last side hustle was a cooking app where you forgot to include the ingredient list.”
“That was a minor oversight!” Raj protested, waving his hand dismissively as he started typing furiously. “This time, I’ll get it right.”
The next day, he pitched the idea to his friends over coffee at the local café, but they were less than impressed.
“Do we really need another app?” his friend Vikram asked while scrolling through his phone. “What’s wrong with just asking around?”
Raj sighed, “I need something unique! Something that stands out!”
As he left the café, he decided to focus on a side hustle that required less coding and more creativity. He spotted a flyer on a lamppost: “Pet-Sitting Services – We Love Your Pets Like Our Own!”
“Maybe I can start a pet-sitting business,” he thought, a grin spreading across his face. “How hard can it be?”
